Merry Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Winter Solstice!

Holidays are a time for celebrating; and not just unity and happiness, but also your beautiful self (no matter how petite it may be). So here are some red things that follow the Christmas dressing code.

This sweater is the coziest way to celebrate the holidays. Although, considering the price, I wouldn't want to burn it while lighting the candles on the menorah.

Movie Recommendation

I recently watched the movie New Year's Eve. It was really good - very romantic and emotional and basically all the actors were famous. The cast includes Zac Efron, Abigail Breslin, Robert De Niro, Hilary Swank, Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kucher and many more celebrated and well-known movie stars. (for more info click here). Since we're talking abou this, I might as well show my favorite dresses that some of these actresses have worn.

Halle Berry wearing a YSL asymetrical gown and clutch and Penny Preville hoop earrings. I love her haircut and her tanned skin looks great with this fiery red dress.



Jessica Biel in a 3.1 Phillip Lim suit, Vince top, Giuseppe Zanotti two-toned heels and Jamie Wolf earrings. The cream-colored suit is very man-inspired but the striped Vince top is totally Parisian chic while the shoes also follow the pastel dress code.

I couldn't decide in between these two stunning designs, so I'm showing you both. On the left, Lea Michele is wearing a beautiful Valentino gown with Neil Lane diamonds. On the right, she's in a summery Lacoste tunic and Aldo colorblock wedges.

Sarah Jessica Parker rocked a Blumarine sheath, Stella McCartney blazer and Nicholas Kirkwood sandals. The blazer and dress match, but the shoes give an unexpected and good-looking flash of color.

Hilary Swank gleamed in head-to-toe Tory Burch. The dress gives a relaxed and laid-back look while the red heels on the wedges add an edge to the ensemble.

Sofia Vergara in a Monique Lhuillier form-fitting gown and a Jenny Packham clutch. She wore her hair and lipstick in an Old-Hollywood fashion but her dress belonged to a trend of this generation.

Stocking Stuffers

Well, not really. They're more like something to stuff your stockings into. Just in case you were wondering what I'm talking about, I'm talking about boots. I really want boots this holiday, so I'm going to show you some ideas.

2 Lips Too Kids booties (also available in black). They're 44.95 dollars at Zappos. Sizes available in brown: 13-4 youth and 12 toddler. Sizes available in black: 13-5 youth and 12 toddler.
I love these booties so much! They're 5th on my x-mas list. I like them in brown and my favorite part is the heel and the slouchy look.


Aldo ankle boots (also available in gray and taupe). The black and taupe are $60 at aldo.com and the gray ones are 31.49. Sizes in black and taupe: 5-11. Sizes available in gray are 6-10.
My favorite color for these boots is taupe (as you can see, I love brown boots) and I simply adore the bow on the back of the shoe.


Donna Karan suede knee-high boots. $590 at Net-a-Porter. Sizes available: 4-12 (including half-sizes). Even though these boots are really expensive, I love them. Plus, knee-high boots are in this season.

The Katie

Zappos: I love Zappos. They have designer clothing but they also have other cute things by cheaper companies. Plus, shipping's free and if you call about a problem and you're nice to them, they give you VIP shipping. (Don't tell anyone that I told you that).

Discount Dance Supply: I dance and I like to get my ballet stuff there. They have a big selection in Capezio and Bloch and tons of other dancewear companies. The prices are so low and the shipping doesn't take long at all.

How to pull a Pippa:
·Start with a blouse, t-shirt or dress.
·Add skinny jeans (she wears quilted French Connection jeans), a high-waisted skirt or black tights (if you're wearing a dress).
·Slip on ballet flats, suede boots or wedges/espadrilles (only if you want your look to be summery).
·Pull on a pea coat, trench coat or blazer. You can also wear a motorcycle jacket if you want to toughen up the look.
·Tote a hobo bag or tote bag like her Modalu one.
·For elegant events, wear floor-length, form-fitting  long-sleeve or spaghetti-strap dresses and pumps.
