Angie Style

For this entry I'm trying something new that I will be doing regularly and that I've copied from You're the one.

Angelina Jolie is a sexy star on the red carpet, sporting thigh-high slits and asymmetrical gowns and an on-the-go mother with her family. Her street style consists of wedges and mom-appropriate heels and all-black or all-grey outfits. Somehow she manages to combine both styles, always with her signature Louis Vuitton bag and D&G sunnies.

Petite Piece

As I've said in other posts, Zara clothing is relatively small, especially the Trafaluc (TRF) line. And sometimes, even the girls' clothes are big enough for most petites.
Today I went shopping and I found this short-sleeved quilted leather jacket, available in black, white and pastel pink. It was TINY, the XS one even fit my eleven-year-old sister!

It's 39.99 dollars, and I think that, personally, the one that fits me best is the pale pink one. I'll soon be posting my new outfits from yet another shopping trip!

Ombre

This is the sweater I got on my last shopping trip. I'm literally in love with it! It's so comfortable and works for all occasions, though I mostly pair it with denim, long and short. Pictured here with my sister's teeny Zara Boy skinny jeans and a red Tezenis bra.

Bralet outfit

I was brave enough to wear the vintage  Cacharel bralet, but only for the photoshoot. I wore it with a pink cardigan from a local shop and Zara jeans and flats. I don't think I'll be able to wear it withot something on top, so for now a cardigan is great for everyday life with a small touch of sexy.

Dare-to-wear: the bralet

Today, I discovered two vintage bras in my grandmother's house, they possibly belonged to my aunt Julia. Anyway, they look like bralets. The striped pink one is Cacharel, feels like a corset with underwire and all. The other one is white satin and has these adorable buttons at the front. Personaly, the Cacharel one is more wearable as a bralet because it looks summery and not at all like lingerie.

I don't know if I'm brave enough to wear them, but I think I'll pair the striped one with my navy Zara blazer, distressed Zara Kids jeans (in previous post), and flats. For a more summery look, I'll try it under a loose blue tank top, denim shorts, a straw hat and Converse.
If I do try the white one, I'll put it on under a sheer blouse for a touch of sexy vintage.

Shopping Trip

I don't usually go shopping. I just go out for a walk and come home with a pair of shoes or a cute dress. But on Tuesday I went out with fellow blogger Claudia (claudiabelieves.blogspot.com) to prowl the streets of Burgos, Spain (about two hours north of Madrid) for something long-sleeved (in Mallorca it's like a tropical paradise, in Burgos you get chilled to the bone even in July).
I ended up getting an ombre pullover and distressed jeans at Zara and cute blue shorts at Stradivarius.

I can't find the pullover anywhere, it's Zara and has a blue ombre print, will be posting some pictures of it soon.

These are the jeans; they're actually skinnier than they look and are from the new girls' collection. They come with this scarf that's sowed on as a belt, I removed it because I found it hideous. But anyway, we're all entitled to our own opinion. 22.95 euros, 39.90 USD

Blue Stradivarius shorts, they're great for petites but I recommend using a belt. I ended up having to cut the belt from the jeans and wearing it with these. The next time I travel, I'll take some extra accessories. 12.95€ (no online shopping in the US)

Introducing: IKKS

I have recently been exploring this French brand, they have beautiful pieces. I've fallen in love with several dresses from the girls' collection (sizes 8-18) that I've seen at a store in Mallorca called IXS, where they sell children's clothes from brands like IKKS, Levi's, Rbelle, Scotch Shrunk and North Sails.

I love this 2-in-1 fleece dress. It's formed by a a sweater dress with writing on the back and a cute white sundress under it. You can wear them together or as separates. From 53.40€, ikks.com
This is the dress I got for a recent trip to LA (75 euros at IXS)

The Middletons

It's very obvious that I love the Middleton sisters, yet when I'm asked: "who are you more similar to, Kate or Pippa?" I say: "I'm myself, thank you." I think it's fine to be inspired by the Middleton's style or by any celibrity's as long as you don't forget your own instincts.
Here are some "High street" copies of their dresses and also more expensive pieces they wear so you can add on to your own instincts.

These Banana Republic Monogram dresses are obviously inspired by Pippa's bridesmaid dress. These aren't available in petite sizes, but you can get them in size 00. White gown,$350 (sizes 00-16) and pink dress, 175 USD (00-16). Note: pink dress isn't currently available in size 00, but the black version of it is. Both, bananarepublic.com

The following are accessories and shoes that the sisters themselves wear:
You've all probably heard of the "Kate effect." For those who haven't, it's how Kate has revolutionized the British fashion industry by wearing clothing from said industry. One of the brands that has been affected by this is L K Bennett, whose nude pumps are one of Kate's favorites.
Sledge Shoe
Nude patent leather pumps from L K Bennett. From left to right: Platforms, 185 pounds (these are the ones that Kate wears); basic pumps, L165; peep-toes, L155. Sizes 35-42. All, lkbennett.co.uk. There are also more types of pumps, but these are my favorites.
This is how she wears them:

The Pippa Modalu bag.
Named after her, she has it in different styles.

Pippa bag in red (247.72). Pippa bag in light blue ($353.89). Small Pippa bag in cappuccino ($305.32). All, modalu.com

This is how she rocks it:
